How to Add/Revise Listings in Bulk:

New listings can be added to your Walmart Seller account in any number of ways. This includes manually adding products, bulk listing products, and using inventory management software. We will be focusing on how to add products to your Walmart account in bulk via their file upload process.

1. Download our Add Products Inventory File included with your subscription.

You will use this file to populate Walmart’s template.

2. It is important to note that currently, Walmart requires all uploads to be done via their specified file template.

The link to download Walmart’s template for Adding Items in Bulk is available via your Seller account.

3. The Inventory file downloaded in Step 1 is a TXT file. To properly copy the file into Walmart’s template, be sure the Product     ID column is formatted as text.

Important: It is critical that all UPCs are formatted as text so Walmart can properly read and match the products.

4. In Microsoft Excel, go to File > Open

By default, the Text Import Wizard will open and allow you to format the file.

Verify that delimited is selected. Click Next

On the next screen, the default delimiter settings are sufficient. Click Next

By default, all columns will import over as general format.

Click on the Product ID column and change the format to text.

Your screen should look like this.

        Click Finish

5. Please Copy the content from the file just opened. Paste it into the file downloaded in Step 2 (Walmart’s template).

Please note you will only be populating 6 columns (Columns D through H). The remaining will be blank.

In general, if you can read the full Product ID, the UPC is formatted correctly. See below image

Save the newly created file to your computer.

You will upload this new file to Walmart.

6. Click the below link which will take you to your Items Page in your Walmart Seller Center to upload the file you just created.

This will add any new products to your selling account and update the selling prices of existing products. – Click here to go to Walmart

7. Click on Add Items then Add Items in Bulk.

8. The page should look something like this.

9. Click the link to find and upload the file you just saved to your computer in Step 5.

10. Click Submit

11. You’re done!

Once submitted, you can monitor the upload status in the Activity Feed.

Once complete, you will be able to download a file that contains the status of the uploaded listings.

Important: You will need to repeat the above steps each time you want to add new listings to your Walmart Account. We recommend at least once a week if you wish to sell the newest products, but you may update more or less often per your business needs. Never use the same inventory file more than once.

Disclaimer: That's it! The file you uploaded to Walmart will add any new products and update existing

product prices. To upload available quantity, see the “How to Revise Quantity” section.

Alternative Ways to List:

If you do not wish to create listings via Bulk Upload, there are a couple of alternate ways to create listings - manually adding products and using external inventory management software.

Manually Create Listings

This is helpful if you only want to list a handful of products in your account. To do this, you can navigate to the Add a Single Item page in the Seller Center. To list a product you would like to sell, you can copy and paste the product information from our Add Products file above. Follow the on-screen prompts on Walmart.

Using an External Inventory Management Software

An Inventory Management Software is a separate software designed to manage and sync inventory between multiple marketplaces. A lot of these also give you the ability to create listings right from within the software. There is a lot of inventory software out there, and they all behave similarly. We can integrate with just about all of them. Contact Us if you have any questions or want more information.
